Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team at Owensboro Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient registration, scheduling, and check-in processes
  • Conduct clinical and administrative tasks related to patient care, including data entry and record-keeping
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and healthcare staff
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure seamless patient care and efficient office operations
  • Perform other administrative and clinical tasks as needed to support the medical office team
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software
