Position Overview:


The Senior Application Systems Analyst plays a crucial role in the analysis, design, configuration, testing, implementation, and support of software systems utilized in clinical trials and research. This staff-level professional is well-versed in all facets of healthcare information systems.

The role requires comprehensive knowledge in the configuration, installation, design, testing, implementation, and maintenance of administrative, financial, or clinical information systems. The analyst is expected to operate independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Under guidance, document and propose workflow modifications and technical/functional designs necessary to meet business requirements for standard and moderately complex challenges.


2. Resolve standard and moderately complex issues, incidents, and problems in accordance with established service levels and IS Standards.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues, internal and external stakeholders, and vendors.

3. Under supervision, configure, install, implement, monitor, and maintain systems of moderate complexity (applications, workflows, processes, etc.), adhering to documentation standards.

4. Acquire and maintain a solid understanding of the technical and functional architecture of assigned systems and their integration.

5. Comprehend security and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures related to assigned systems.

6. Participate in the development and management of project plans, consistently meeting deadlines or escalating issues, concerns, and barriers to project leaders. Assist in prioritizing tasks and assignments.

7. Under supervision, conduct testing of applications, systems, and configurations for projects of moderate complexity in line with IS standards.

8. Engage with key stakeholders in training peers, end-users, and other IS team members.


9. Contribute to the creation of training and knowledge-based materials for use by peers, end-users, and other IS team members.

Develop and implement communication plans for all stakeholder groups under supervision.

10. Deliver exceptional customer service during interactions with peers, end-users, and others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in information technology, clinical, or healthcare-related field from an accredited institution.

- Alternatively, four years of equivalent experience in information systems, clinical, or clinical information systems.


- One year of experience in analysis, design, configuration, implementation (technical and functional), and support of business/financial or clinical information systems.



Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Information Systems, Bioinformatics, or Computer Science from an accredited institution.

- One year of professional experience with analytic and statistical software systems such as Alteryx, R, Python, etc.

- Experience in developing, analyzing, and managing complex database management systems and creating Tableau dashboards.


- Four years of professional experience managing REDCap projects.



- Experience in research CTMS administration and clinical LIMS administration.

- Proven experience in training and managing a large-scale user base, along with effective project management skills, accuracy, and decision-making abilities with limited supervision.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills in a technical or healthcare context, along with demonstrated interpersonal skills.
