About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Medical Telemetry Nurse to join our team at Centerpoint Medical Center. As a Medical Telemetry Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing acute changes in patients, monitoring and analyzing heart rhythms, and intervening in emergency situations.
About the Unit
- Our 36-bed Medical Telemetry Unit provides a wide variety of monitored patients, including those with chest pain, stroke, COPD, post-operative care, and accelerated heart rhythms.
- We offer a step-down care environment, providing a seamless transition for patients from the PCU and Level II Trauma Center.
- Our team is dedicated to providing support, guidance, and education to each other, ensuring a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care, utilizing advanced knowledge in psychosocial, spiritual, pathophysiological, and therapeutic components specific to step-down care and cardiac monitoring.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
Requirements
- Current RN license from the Missouri State Board of Nursing or Multistate RN license from a participating compact state.
- BLS certification required upon hire.
- ACLS certification within 1 year of hire date.
- This role requires full vaccination for COVID-19 based on local, state, and/or federal law or regulations.
- Minimum of 6 months of nursing experience.
