Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled RN Medical Telemetry Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cardiac telemetry and be able to provide high-quality care to our patients. The RN Medical Telemetry Specialist will be responsible for assessing acute changes in patients, monitoring and analyzing heart rhythms, and intervening in emergency situations.
About the Role
This is a 36-bed cardiac telemetry unit with a wide variety of monitored patients, including chest pain, stroke, COPD, post-ops, GI, accelerated heart rhythm, and respiratory patients. The unit is a step-down from the PCU and Level II Trauma Center. We offer career pathing and elevation to more critical care positions, as well as a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care to patients with cardiac conditions, including monitoring and analyzing heart rhythms, and intervening in emergency situations.
- Assess acute changes in patients and develop effective care plans to address their needs.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current RN license from the Missouri State Board of Nursing or Multistate RN license from a participating compact state required.
- BLS certification required upon hire.
- ACLS certification within 1 year of hire date.
