We are in search of a full-time Healthcare Assistant/Scribe to join our team. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute to our mission of providing comprehensive ENT and Allergy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responding to patient inquiries and managing calls
- Measuring and recording patient vitals
- Securing necessary authorizations for procedures
- Coordinating appointments for diagnostic tests and surgical interventions
- Preparing examination rooms for patient visits
- Assisting physicians during examinations and procedures
- Processing prescription requests
- Maintaining cleanliness and sterilization of medical instruments
- Documenting patient encounters as a Medical Scribe
Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of hands-on experience as a Medical Assistant and Scribe.
- Current certification or willingness to undergo in-house training and state certification.
- Experience assisting with surgical procedures is preferred.
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
- Professional demeanor when interacting with patients and team members.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Proficient computer skills.
- Fluency in Spanish is advantageous.
- CCMA/RMA certification is preferred.
