Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist 2 to join our team at the Oregon State Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide primary case management for patients with mental, emotional, or behavioral impairments. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing, teaching, and evaluating classes in treatment specialty areas, as well as providing behavioral therapy to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary case management for patients with mental, emotional, or behavioral impairments
  • Design, teach, and evaluate classes in treatment specialty areas
  • Provide behavioral therapy to patients
  • Participate in basic care and treatment of patients, including security and escort services
  • Contribute to the general therapeutic atmosphere of the work unit
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Three years of experience working with people with behavioral illness or physically impaired clients
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in social science, such as social work, human services, psychology, child development, gerontology, health, or health education
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage stressful situations
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new technologies
  • Ability to work more than 8 hours in a day and/or 40 hours in a week as required
