Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team at Western Digital. As a key member of our HAMR technology development team, you will be responsible for leading the characterization of HAMR DOE performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the characterization of HAMR DOE performance and reliability, interfacing with wafer process, design, test development, and backend process teams to close the DOE learning cycle.
  • Provide timely and accurate feedback to improve HAMR technology.
  • Collaborate with test development teams to design innovative test procedures to tackle HAMR-related challenges.
  • Analyze large data sets to extract key learning information and drive DOE evaluation.
  • Work closely with wafer, design, and backend teams to ensure smooth DOE evaluation.
Requirements
  • PhD + 3 years or MS + 5 years of experience in EE, Physics, or related field.
  • Experience in HAMR technology is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis.
