We're seeking a motivated computer engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate has experience in software design, implementation, and real-time data processing. They will analyze complex manufacturing and scientific devices, devise a data collection and storage strategy, followed by an implementation. The data will be used for data analytics and visualization to support hard disk drive (HDD) media development for next-generation product technologies, including heat-assisted magnetic recording (HAMR).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy programs to collect data from IoT devices, such as manufacturing and scientific tools for media development.
  • Ensure high reliability of the processes, data integrity, and accuracy by implementing robust data validation and quality assurance practices.
  • Add new features, perform maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with engineers in the media organization to understand their data needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer engineering, information systems, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in coding in various forms, such as Python, C++, Java, SQL, etc.
  • Experience in Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka a plus.
