Job Summary

As a Director of Pediatric Rehabilitation and Performance, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our pediatric rehabilitation program, ensuring high-quality patient care, and driving strategic initiatives to drive excellence and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Oversight: Provide daily operational oversight of the pediatric rehabilitation program, ensuring seamless execution of clinical and administrative tasks.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain high-quality patient care standards, ensuring consistency across all service locations.
  • Education and Training: Develop and implement education and training programs for pediatric staff, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Direct Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, working with children ages newborn through 21, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Program Development: Create strategic initiatives to drive excellence, innovation, and growth in pediatric rehabilitation, aligning with HSS's mission and vision.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators, ensuring program success and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Clinical Excellence: Ensure clinical consistency across all service locations, promoting best practices and evidence-based care.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Pediatric Service Line and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement strategic plans, driving program growth and success.
  • Fiscal Oversight: Manage program budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and accountability.
Requirements
  • Current NYS Physical Therapy Licensure: Possess current licensure to practice physical therapy in New York State.
  • Education: Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
  • Experience: Possess 7+ years of experience in pediatric rehabilitation, with 5+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Demonstrate advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications: Possess PCS board certification, preferred.
