Pediatric Rehabilitation Leader

Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Pediatric Rehabilitation Leader to join our team. As a leader in pediatric rehabilitation, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our pediatric rehabilitation department, ensuring the highest level of quality care for our patients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric rehabilitation, with at least 7 years of experience in a leadership role. They will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and rehabilitation technicians. The leader will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to drive excellence, innovation, and growth in pediatric rehabilitation.

The Pediatric Rehabilitation Leader will work closely with the AVP, Rehabilitation and Performance, to ensure that the department is meeting its goals and objectives. They will also be responsible for monitoring key performance indicators, ensuring clinical consistency across service locations, and providing direct patient care as needed.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence others and develop teams. They will also have strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.

Requirements include:

  • Current NYS Physical Therapy licensure
  • Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy, DPT preferred
  • 7+ years experience in Pediatric Rehabilitation
  • 5+ years supervisory experience
  • Advanced computers skills: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent multi-disciplinary communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to influence others and develop teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • PCS board certification, preferred
