Job Summary:The Pediatric Nursery Medical Director will be responsible for overseeing the level 1 nursery at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. This includes in-hospital call for attending deliveries, providing pediatric leadership for the newborn unit, and supervising pediatric nurse practitioners.
Responsibilities:- Oversee the level 1 nursery at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital
- Provide pediatric leadership for the newborn unit
- Supervise pediatric nurse practitioners
- Attend deliveries and manage newborn nursery operations
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Eligible/Board certified in Pediatrics
- Active medical license in the state of New York
- Experience in attending deliveries and managing newborn nursery operations
- Previous experience supervising pediatric nurse practitioners preferred, not required
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement
