Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff for Information Warfare. This position will be responsible for providing administrative and programmatic leadership for an organization to ensure the accomplishment of programs and projects pertaining to Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence (C5I) and Combat Systems Readiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight and guidance to subordinate command N6 staffs to identify new C5I system readiness requirements, project management goals, planning and execution, and near and long-term budget submissions.
  • Ensure alignment between Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), Navy Modernization Plan (NMP), and acquisition program documentation for ship modernization decision purposes.
  • Identify capability gaps in C5I systems, equipment, and/or components, and provide recommendations for new, upgraded, or modified systems to appropriate System Command (SYSCOM).
  • Prepare and present briefing material, at the Flag/SES level, related to shipboard C5I systems material and operational readiness.
  • Participate in activities related to the development and operational testing, prioritization, scheduling, and fielding, integration, sustainment, maintenance, repair, and removal of C5I systems aboard naval surface ships.
Requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret/SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Providing administrative and programmatic leadership for an organization to ensure accomplishment of programs and projects pertaining to C5I and Combat Systems Readiness.
