Customer Service Specialist Job Description

This role is crucial to the success of our retail stores. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will work closely with customers to understand their needs, provide expert advice on Sherwin-Williams products, and offer tailored solutions. Your primary goal will be to deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring maximum client satisfaction and consistently meeting sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide top-notch sales service to customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone, offering expert advice on products and services.
  • Build strong relationships with wholesale and retail customers, fostering trust and loyalty.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Maintain accurate work order files and formulas.
  • Pull products from the sales floor or warehouse as needed.
  • Tint and mix products to customer specifications.
  • Stock shelves and set up displays.
  • Clean store equipment.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks.
  • Assist with deliveries as needed.
  • Maintain in-stock and presentable condition of assigned areas.
  • Stay knowledgeable about products offered and discuss available options with customers.
  • Comply with inventory control procedures.
  • Suggest ways to improve sales and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
  • Must be able to retrieve materials from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
  • Previous experience selling paint and paint-related products.
  • Previous experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
