Position Overview

American Trucking Group USA, LLC is looking for a dedicated Class A Commercial Truck Operator to become part of our family-oriented organization, known for maintaining one of the lowest turnover rates in the industry. Home Time: Two full days at home every other week

Equipment: Fleet includes Automatic Transmission Freightliners, Volvos, and Peterbilts

Freight Type: 100% no-touch freight, primarily utilizing drop and hook methods

Experience Requirements: Minimum of 6 months experience within the last 24 months or 1 year within the last 36 months

Job Details:

Pay and Home Time: Drivers in this position will typically be on the road for two weeks, followed by scheduled home time every other week. While we strive to align home time with weekends, weekend returns are not guaranteed. The average weekly pay ranges from $1,300 to $1,500, supplemented by a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Our minimum pay program ensures consistent earnings, even in unforeseen circumstances. Drivers can choose between CPM or percentage of load pay structures, with calculations made to ensure the highest pay rate.

Responsibilities: The primary duty of the Class A Commercial Truck Operator will be to transport general freight using dry van trailers across all 48 states. Most loads will be drop and hook, allowing for maximum mileage efficiency.

Equipment Information: Upon completion of orientation, drivers will have access to top-tier equipment, including Freightliner Coronado/122SD, Freightliner Cascadia/Evolution, Volvo VN780, Volvo VNL860, and Peterbilt 579. All vehicles are equipped with APU and inverter systems.

Orientation Process: New hires will have travel arrangements covered, including flights or rental cars, single-person accommodations, and meal provisions during orientation. Spouses and pets are welcome, thanks to our rider and pet policy. Orientation compensation of $1,000 will be included in the first paycheck.

Comprehensive Benefits: We offer a robust benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401K/profit sharing, disability and life insurance, as well as vacation pay. Our rider program and pet policy have no waiting period, and pets can stay with drivers during orientation.

Qualifications: To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess a valid Class A CDL, a current DOT medical card, and have either six months of experience within the last 24 months or one year within the last 36 months, specifically operating a tractor with a trailer of 40 feet or longer.

Hiring Process: Applicants will complete a full Department of Transportation application, followed by comprehensive CDL A Driver reports, including PSP, DAC, MVR, and employment verifications. Upon receipt of all reports, we will extend an employment offer, schedule an orientation date, and arrange travel logistics. Orientation includes a new DOT physical and a road test, along with a thorough introduction to company policies and equipment. Transportation, accommodations, and meals will be provided during orientation, along with an additional $1,000 orientation pay.
