Job Title: Process Quality Engineer
Location: Houston, TX
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (Onsite)
Compensation: Up to $46/hr + Benefits
Contract Duration: Contract W2 (1 Year)
Role Overview: We are looking for a committed Process Quality Engineer to enhance our operational excellence. In this capacity, you will work closely with the Quality Leader and Shop Leader to ensure the effective implementation of standardized processes and protocols. Your responsibilities will include managing operational quality challenges and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives within the Shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and oversee the technical evaluation of repair sources' capabilities, collaborating with Repair Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and MMT for specialized processes in accordance with internal guidelines.
- Manage the eSQM system, ensuring qualification process timelines align with the Quality Leader and Shop Leader, including farm-out activities.
- Develop and oversee the Quality Plan in partnership with the Quality Leader to meet annual performance targets.
- Administer eSDR and Client systems, assisting Shop roles in implementing non-conformity strategies, including supplier management.
- Analyze client and eSDR data to propose continuous improvement strategies to the Quality Leader, focusing on cost management and process enhancement.
- Drive initiatives to improve quality control and eliminate defects.
- Create, refine, and implement standard work processes to cultivate a quality-focused culture among operators.
- Support the Shop in executing processes and corrective actions based on NCA/RCA findings or defects.
- Assist the Quality Leader in establishing, implementing, and maintaining QMS processes through internal audits and process reviews.
- Help train personnel on documented company policies to ensure compliance with customer requirements across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality-related roles.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the services sector.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
- Ability to maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills, along with effective priority management.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Proficient in coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective problem identification and resolution skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and organizational capabilities.
- Significant knowledge or experience with specialized processes (e.g., welding, brazing, coating).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
