The role requires a Quality Engineer dedicated to managing and enhancing the quality assurance processes for key projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate ASME NQA1 training and certification initiatives.
- Draft and evaluate procedures mandated by NQA1 standards.
- Serve as the main quality liaison for designated clients.
- Conduct thorough technical root cause investigations and implement corrective measures.
- Perform regular inspections during fabrication and assembly phases.
- Assist in internal auditing processes (NQA1, ISO 9001).
- Develop and maintain Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Quality Management Plans.
- Oversee the collection and resolution of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) in compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
- Execute supplier assessments.
- Establish and track relevant quality metrics.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues related to nonconforming products and improve their operational performance.
- Support quality inspection teams.
- Willingness to travel occasionally may be required.
Essential Qualifications:
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques.
- Knowledge of NQA1 Standard: 2008 with 2009 supplement.
- Certification as a QMS lead auditor is preferred.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or Specialist in an environment adhering to NQA1 quality standards.
- An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
