Role Summary:

The Quality Assurance Process Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the technical evaluation of repair capabilities, collaborating with various engineering teams to ensure compliance with established procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical evaluation of repair sources, working closely with Repair Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Special Process teams as necessary.
  • Manage the eSQM system to facilitate the qualification process, ensuring adherence to timelines set in collaboration with Quality Leaders and Shop Leaders.
  • Develop and execute qualification plans, including activities related to outsourcing.
  • Collaborate with Quality Leaders to establish and manage annual Quality Plans to meet set objectives.
  • Oversee the eSDR and NCR systems, providing support to shop personnel in implementing non-conformity measures.
  • Analyze NCR and eSDR data to propose continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing processes and procedures.
  • Conduct cost of quality tracking and dedicated analyses to maintain and optimize operational costs.
  • Drive quality control efforts to minimize defects and enhance product integrity.
  • Develop, refine, and implement standard operating procedures to foster a culture of quality among operators.
  • Support the shop in executing processes in line with established procedures and corrective actions stemming from non-conformance analyses.
  • Assist Quality Leaders in ensuring that Quality Management System processes are effectively established and maintained through regular audits and process reviews.
  • Facilitate training for all personnel on documented company policies, ensuring awareness of customer requirements across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality-related roles.
  • Over 5 years of relevant experience in the services sector.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ability to cultivate collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong teamwork, leadership, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with special processes such as welding, brazing, and coating.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and presentation software.
