About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Consultant to join our team at Marsh McLennan Agency. As a key member of our client-facing team, you will work closely with clients to deliver exceptional customer service and provide expert guidance on employee benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage long and short-range benefit strategies for clients, fostering strong client relationships and collaborating with sales professionals and insurance carrier partners.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Health & Welfare compliance, including HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, 5500, ACA, and DOL regulations.
  • Manage the RFP process for new and prospective clients, as well as renewal and implementation processes.
  • Coordinate, develop, and execute project plans and presentations for specific client groups.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in brokerage or insurance industry with a thorough understanding of health plans, funding alternatives, and the ability to think through non-traditional solutions.
  • Knowledge of various lines of insurance coverage, including medical, dental, life, STD, LTD, design, and rate structures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to a range of professionals at each client.
  • Proficient in Health & Welfare compliance, including HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, 5500, ACA, and DOL regulations.
  • Life & Health Licensure or commitment to achieving within 6 months of start date.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all levels of internal staff, external clients, prospects, and vendors.
