We are seeking a highly skilled Staffing Specialist to join our team at HealthTrust Workforce Solutions. As a key member of our staffing team, you will be responsible for coordinating daily staffing activities, collaborating with facilities management staff, and implementing disciplinary action plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily staffing with facilities by anticipating and scheduling needs with the Staffing Coordinator, Nurse Managers, and Nursing Supervisors.
  • Ensure approval is obtained for all OT booked by HWS or local agencies and document approval in the Workforce system.
  • Coordinate confirmation processes timely and accurately, beginning 3 hours prior to the start of the confirmed shift, ensuring all HWS personnel and agencies are contacted if canceled and offered viable re-route opportunities.
  • Anticipate and provide resolution to issues based on the needs and expectations of our customers.
  • Ensure all HWS shifts are confirmed over outside vendor candidates to help with cost reduction.
  • Channel concerns appropriately through the chain of command and deal with conflict in a private manner.
  • Treat others with respect at all times and maintain a work environment free of harassment, hostility, or violence.
  • Serve as a liaison between staff, vendors, and facilities to meet minimum staffing requirements within established parameters at booking.
  • Establish a harmonious relationship with facilities and subcontractors through cooperative contacts.
  • Maintain confidentiality and appropriate access of all employee information.
  • Participate in special projects as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Utilize excellent customer service skills at all times.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Effectively deal with conflict.
  • Experience using office productivity software tools like Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

  • Maintain a working area and equipment in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.
Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED required, Associate College Degree preferred. Minimal one year customer service experience required, staffing experience preferred.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions
  • Exert up to 20 lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs frequently.
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some walking, standing, repetitive tasks/motions, and stretching.
  • Requires clarity of vision, eye-hand-foot coordination, and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment.
  • Requires the perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction; ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
