Caring Transitions of Chapel Hill and Durham provides professional and respectful services aimed at assisting seniors, families, and professionals with transitions, downsizing, estate cleanouts, online auctions, and more. In this position, you will be an integral part of a team delivering exceptional service to our clients in Chapel Hill, Durham, and nearby regions.

As a project leader within a client's residence, you will oversee the team responsible for sorting, organizing, photographing items for online sales, transporting donations, packing items for shipment, and other related tasks. This role requires attention to detail, effective delegation, project management skills, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

This position is ideal for retirees, caregivers, and individuals with flexible schedules who wish to make a positive impact in the lives of others. We offer flexible working hours.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing moving supplies and boxes within the client's residence
  • Lifting boxes, decor, and some furniture to new locations
  • Sorting, organizing, and packing household items for relocation or sale
  • Safely packing and unpacking household goods
  • Disposing of unwanted items through donation or removal
  • Delivering and shipping items sold through online auctions
  • Interacting with clients, their families, and team members
  • Exhibiting quick thinking and problem-solving skills
  • And more, as no two days are the same

Job Requirements Include:

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead a team of 4-6 individuals.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift 30 lbs or more, and navigate various environments.
  • Access to a computer for scheduling and project management tools
  • Excellent customer service abilities
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills; ability to follow instructions.
  • Most importantly, the ability to maintain composure in chaotic situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
