About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate EFC Success Coach to join our team at HirefinderRPO. As an EFC Success Coach, you will play a critical role in supporting young adults as they transition through the Arizona extended foster care system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to 17-20 young adults, meeting with them in collaboration with the DCSS to provide supportive services and transition planning.
  • Develop a working alliance with each young adult, using motivational, nonjudgmental, and encouraging strategies to engage them and respectfully keep them accountable to the change process.
  • Coordinate and facilitate life skill activities off-site, such as college tours, volunteer opportunities, job fairs, and housing options, to address barriers to services through the Local Inter-Agency Team.
  • Support young adults in seeking and maintaining employment, including resume development, application submission, interview readiness, and transportation.
  • Provide crisis stabilization and identify and address the root cause of the crisis, providing interventions to address immediate safety until the young adult can start or continue in goal progression.
  • Connect young adults with supportive services, such as Vocational Rehab, SMI, Public Housing, DES, Child Care, and other community resources.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with community partners and co-workers, ensuring good working relationships through cooperation and understanding.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding client identity and problems, adhering to the professional code of ethics.
  • Participate in team-based planning meetings, such as wraparound meetings, family engagement meetings, and permanency or community roundtables.
  • Provide culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and individualized services, maintaining contact and monitoring youth progress as required by contract.
  • Input family data into Electronic Record and Quick Connect Systems, using independent judgment to problem-solve and make decisions in the best interest of the youth.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or associate's degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Behavioral Health, or Education.
  • Experience serving transitional age youth in systems of care, with a focus on extended foster care.
  • Experience in word processing in a Windows environment.
  • Ability to display verbal and written communication skills that meet the requirements of the position and needs of clients.
  • Completion of a minimum of 14 hours of professional development training annually.
