Job Description: SMERF Market Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven individual to join our team as a SMERF Market Development Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market share in the SMERF segments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market share in the SMERF segments.
  • Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including planners and decision-makers in social, military, educational, religious, and fraternal organizations.
  • Market Insights: Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends within the SMERF segments.
  • Marketing Support: Collaborate with marketing teams to create tailored promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Event Promotion: Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking functions to promote our offerings and establish connections.
  • Sales Performance Monitoring: Manage and track sales leads, forecasts, and reports to ensure targets are met.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of events and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or related field.
  • At least 18 months of sales experience in the hospitality industry (hotel or resort), with a focus on SMERF segments preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge of various discipline-focused computer programs, including a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, PMS, Delphi.
  • Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year.
