Job Title: Director of Sales Operations
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced sales professional to join our team as a Director of Sales Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive sales strategies targeting social, military, educational, religious, and fraternal groups (SMERF) within the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market share in the SMERF segments.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including planners and decision-makers in social, military, educational, religious, and fraternal organizations.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends within the SMERF segments.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing teams to create tailored promotional materials and campaigns.
- Industry Events: Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking functions to promote our offerings and establish connections.
- Sales Performance Tracking: Manage and track sales leads, forecasts, and reports to ensure targets are met.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of events and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or related field.
- At least 18 months of sales experience in the hospitality industry (hotel or resort), with a focus on SMERF segments preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Advanced computer skills and knowledge of various discipline-focused computer programs, including a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, PMS, Delphi.
- Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year.
