The primary role of the Dining Services Assistant is to deliver exceptional food services and hospitality to each resident.

Responsibilities:
- Review and understand instructions and dietary information to serve residents appropriately.
- Prepare and ensure food is ready for service at the correct temperatures and as requested.
- Deliver food trays as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in food preparation and service areas.
- Dispose of waste properly and manage trash receptacles.
- Operate kitchen equipment and ensure proper cleaning of dishes and utensils.
- Stock and label food items, adhering to safety regulations.
- Assist in training new staff members.
- Demonstrate reliability and punctuality in attendance.
- Assist residents in the dining area, taking orders and serving food.
- Recognize and accommodate the dietary needs of an aging population.
Physical and Environmental Considerations:
This position operates indoors in a kitchen and dining environment with various floor surfaces. The role requires physical activity, including sitting, standing, reaching, lifting, bending, and occasionally handling items weighing over 50 lbs. Employees must follow safety protocols when using kitchen equipment and handling cleaning chemicals.
