Nursing Faculty Lecturer Position

Overview:
The School of Nursing within the College of Health and Human Services at San Diego State University is inviting applications for its part-time lecturer pool.
We are seeking applications from qualified candidates with expertise or experience in various domains, including:
- Nursing (all specializations)
- Nursing Leadership
Temporary appointments may vary in hours, offering either full-time or part-time opportunities. Note: Appointments from the part-time pool are typically made shortly before the academic term begins, so candidates should be prepared for immediate availability.
The academic terms are structured as follows:
- Fall term: mid-August to late-December
- Spring term: mid-January to mid-May
- Summer Sessions may also present teaching opportunities.
Initial appointments are generally for one semester or one academic year, with the possibility of renewal based on satisfactory evaluations and ongoing availability of positions.
Qualifications:Applicants should possess the following qualifications:
- A graduate degree in a relevant field
- Experience in university-level teaching
- Current knowledge in the subject matter

Salary Information:
Initial rank and salary for lecturer positions are determined by the hiring department based on professional experience and educational background. Most new hires are typically appointed at the Lecturer A or B rank, starting at the beginning of the salary range.
- Lecturer A: $5,007 - $6,359
- Lecturer B: $5,925 - $12,594
- Lecturer C: $6,500 - $13,831
- Lecturer D: $8,184 - $14,487
In accordance with Education Code 89521, applicants must disclose any final administrative or judicial decisions related to sexual harassment within the past seven years, applicable to those meeting the minimum qualifications for the position.
