We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Islandia, NY office. This position requires experience managing IT projects for small-to-medium sized energy efficiency IT projects, including project oversight, client management, and team management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and high customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain accurate project plans, track schedules, budgets, and oversee implementation.
  • Forecast revenue, estimated profitability, and estimated margins, maintaining accurate projections.
  • Proactively escalate risks and pursue new project opportunities.
  • Assist in developing project Statements of Work (SOW) and explore cross-selling opportunities.
  • Maintain client relationships with program sponsors, project leads, and implementation contractors.
  • Experience managing IT projects, ideally in the utility, energy, and/or energy efficiency sectors.
  • Strong consulting and customer service experience, with the ability to provide direction to project teams.
  • Develop strong subject matter expertise to recommend and implement cost-effective solutions.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, standard processes, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information.
  • Superior interpersonal skills, including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or 5 years of equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • 3+ years of project management experience, with demonstrated ability to manage schedule, project risks, and budget.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Understanding of full software development life cycle.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and consulting skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with proven ability to follow through on multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Progressive energy consulting or services work experience, focusing on energy sector program planning, design, implementation, measurement, verification, and evaluation, a plus.
  • Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
  • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
  • May be required to pass security clearance.
