We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeper-Special Projects to join our team at George Mason University. As a key member of our Housing and Residence Life department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional custodial and maintenance support to our residential facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of semi-skilled manual duties, including cleaning common areas, hallways, and stairwells, as well as vacuuming and mopping floors.
  • Operate carpet extractors and other cleaning equipment to maintain a high level of cleanliness in our facilities.
  • Assist with grounds keeping, including removing trash, garbage, and other debris, and preparing grounds for special events.
  • Work independently, with minimal supervision, to complete tasks and projects as assigned.
  • Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff to ensure a positive and safe living environment.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in residential housekeeping or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and understand safety procedures and cleaning instructions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record (preferred).
