Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Graduate Research Assistant to join our team at Gannon University. The successful candidate will assist the Floor Engineer with the operations of the I-HACK Makerspace and collaborate with CEB Senior Design Projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct experiments accurately and promptly
  • Maintain, calibrate, and operate laboratory instruments
  • Assist in the setup and use of new lab equipment
  • Prepare experiments, set up and assist faculty with laboratory classes
  • Enter, clean, and analyze data using Excel spreadsheets and applicable statistical programs
  • Understand and practice lab safety protocols
  • Coordinate meetings, manage calendars, and take minutes at meetings
  • Collaborate with undergraduate students on research and class projects
  • Assist in responsibilities regarding Makerspace
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope, responsibility, and requirements of the position
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in an appropriate engineering degree
  • Full-time enrollment in a Master of CEB program
  • Technical trade skills, manufacturing experience, working engineering skills, practical OSHA knowledge, leadership skills
Working Environment

The successful candidate will work in a busy laboratory environment and must be able to lift 50 lbs.
