We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Scholar-Research Associate to join our dynamic research group at Penn State Behrend. The successful candidate will have a strong background in life cycle analysis and/or techno-economic analysis and familiarity in plastics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate various supply chain systems using life cycle analysis and/or techno-economic analysis, including end-of-life batteries and plastics.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to develop projects and secure additional funding opportunities.
  • Join a highly productive research group consisting of faculty, post-docs, graduate students, and undergraduates.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary research projects across the Penn State University system.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science and Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related field by the appointment date.
  • Strong background in life cycle analysis and/or techno-economic analysis and familiarity in plastics.
  • Experience in industrial ecology, programming, and/or model development is desired.
