Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to enhance our dedicated service team. This role involves the service, maintenance, repair, testing, and calibration of sophisticated scientific equipment with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mid-level to advanced customer support tasks, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Oversee and execute field installations and testing of scientific apparatus.
  • Provide technical support to customers, acting as the primary contact for troubleshooting and managing subcontractors as necessary.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of equipment, processes, and manufacturing practices essential for effective support.
  • Work autonomously with limited technical supervision, demonstrating independent problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with refrigeration systems, compressors, and the ability to interpret technical schematics.
  • Proficient in the installation of complex equipment and mechanical assemblies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and refrigeration systems.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as brazing and welding.
  • Basic understanding of PLC controls and electrical systems.
