About the Role

Abbott Laboratories is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to join our Corporate Strategy and Solutions organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving complex projects to completion, developing and overseeing key applications, and leading cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and harmonize project scopes, plans, strategies, and budgets for multiple projects, working closely with functional Project Managers and Subject Matter Experts.
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting, ensuring Division-wide thinking and problem-solving are incorporated into project execution.
  • Drive for resolution in cross-functional problem-solving, communication, and integration, liaising with other Project Owners, functional managers, and management to prioritize activities across programs.
  • Execute programs to completion, ensuring successful execution, and make timely recommendations to Management to terminate a program if required by technical, commercial, or other developments.
  • Identify areas for process improvement, define and implement solutions, and liaise with stakeholders to align plans and resolve conflict.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 8 years of related work experience, with a proven track record of leading high-complexity projects from beginning to end.
  • Demonstrated technical skills and management judgment, as well as expertise in PM tools and processes.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience as a project manager and/or program manager, in Procurement or Finance functional areas.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with hardware and software development of complex systems.
  • Strong technical experience in cross-functional program management and team leadership.
  • Additional cross-functional experience in Cybersecurity and Infrastructure is desirable.
  • Ability to collect information from multiple sources, synthesize, integrate, and resolve conflicting requirements and cross-functional issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work and negotiate with a wide variety of stakeholders at all levels of the organization and across companies.
