Core Responsibilities
The Senior Executive of Banking Operations is responsible for overseeing member engagement and sales initiatives for Teachers Credit Union, encompassing branch operations, customer service centers, digital platforms, and retail banking services.
This role entails strategic planning and operational management of essential banking and lending functions. The executive will champion continuous enhancements in service delivery and sustainable business growth across identified markets and demographics. Collaboration with key leaders within Teachers Credit Union is essential to ensure compliant and efficient banking practices while providing exceptional member service experiences. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational oversight of Teachers-branded retail service channels, including branches, customer service centers, and digital applications.
- Participate in the development of management strategies and policies as a vital member of the executive leadership team.
- Lead the strategic and operational management of retail banking and lending services, including everyday banking, consumer lending, residential mortgages, small business banking, and other critical financial service offerings.
- Encourage a culture of member-focused sales and service that emphasizes integrity, compliance, and ongoing improvement.
- Drive and integrate corporate service experience and business development strategies across banking and lending operations.
- Lead the strategic transformation and modernization of sales and service delivery channels to enhance member experience, increase efficiency, and foster overall growth.
- Exceptional interpersonal, conflict-resolution, and relationship management abilities.
- Strong managerial communication skills, encompassing oral, written, visual, and quantitative methods.
- High-level organizational acumen, influence, and cultural navigation skills.
- Effective organization, time management, and prioritization capabilities.
- Proficient in talent selection, development, and leadership coaching.
- Advanced strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proven leadership in enterprise-wide programs and cross-functional project teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary retail and customer service operations, along with banking service and sales methodologies.
- Demonstrated expertise in credit and lending principles and practices.
- Proficiency in modern business productivity and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office and Teams.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience is required.
- Master's degree or equivalent credentials are preferred.
- Commitment to professionalism and continuous education is preferred (e.g., executive training, certifications, graduate banking programs).
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in banking service and sales operations is required.
- At least five years of progressively responsible leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong connections to the business and civic community, along with a proven record of community involvement, are highly preferred.
