Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with R&D and engineering teams to define system specifications
- Spearhead the design, production, and implementation of pioneering electrified systems utilizing our technology
- Design and construct low voltage control system enclosures, specify necessary components, and oversee procurement
- Develop piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), as well as network and wiring schematics
- Establish and enhance in-house engineering capabilities, including teams and equipment
- Coordinate with external suppliers for design and manufacturing as required
- Create and maintain comprehensive design and technical documentation
- Develop user interfaces (HMIs) for monitoring and controlling pilot systems
- Conduct design evaluations for new and revised system designs

Required Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in industrial automation hardware, PLCs, analog and digital I/O, and industrial networking protocols
- Familiarity with National Instruments hardware and software (Labview)
- Experience with low voltage wiring (e.g., 24VDC)
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment
- Knowledge of control-system cabinet design, P&ID, and wiring diagram creation
- Proficient in CAD software (Solidworks for 3D electrical design and 2D drafting)
- Understanding of UL508A and NEC standards is advantageous
- Experience collaborating with engineers from diverse backgrounds to create effective and safe control systems
- Knowledge of safety and hazard analysis methodologies (e.g., HAZOP, SWIFT) is preferred
- Professional Engineering licensure is a plus
- Project management experience is beneficial
