Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Senior BAS Field Technician responsible for the installation, start-up, and commissioning of HVAC automation and control systems. This role will involve approximately 80% fieldwork, focusing on start-up procedures, testing, diagnostics, and commissioning of systems ranging from controllers to end devices for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct point-to-point check-outs, commissioning, diagnostics, and maintenance on building automation systems and associated equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair automation system panels, including communication devices, circuit boards, power supplies, and controls.
  • Edit and optimize computer programs for building automation system points, ensuring accurate conversion patterns and alarm specifications.
  • Perform assigned preventative maintenance, repairs, and emergency service tasks.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including commissioning reports, daily logs, and as-built records.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in building automation (BAS/BMS) or commercial HVAC controls.
  • Willingness to work primarily in the field at client locations.
  • Familiarity with BAS systems such as Schneider Electric, Siemens, JCI, ALC, Trane, Delta Controls, Distech, Honeywell, or similar.
  • Experience with Tridium Niagara is advantageous.
