Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician III to join our team at the University of New Mexico. As a Pharmacy Technician III, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including compounding and packaging.
  • Conduct audits and research to maintain the integrity of our pharmacy programs.
  • Enter data into computer systems and verify accuracy.
  • Order medications from wholesalers and manage inventory.
  • Coordinate medication-related issues for patients, providers, and clinic staff.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of directly related experience.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician in NM within 60 days.
  • Ability to lift 50-100 pounds occasionally and 25-50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a clinical setting with exposure to biohazardous materials and chemicals. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided.
