ROLE SUMMARY: This role involves delivering essential clinical services to adolescents aged 12-17, including nonminor dependents and their children, within a licensed residential treatment environment. Responsibilities include providing individual, group, family, and milieu therapy, along with supervising the Case Manager assigned to the resident caseload. The therapist will also offer information, consultation, advocacy, and collaborative treatment planning both within the organization and in partnership with external agencies.

REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be eligible for association with Casa de Amparo through Community Care Licensing (CCL), which generally requires clearance from FBI, DOJ, and CACI.
· A Master's degree in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy leading to licensure as an LCSW or MFT is required.
· Must hold a California Registered Intern status. BBS Number is mandatory.
· Understanding of the developmental needs of children from birth to 18 years across various developmental stages.
· Strong interpersonal, time-management, organizational, written and verbal communication skills, along with intermediate computer proficiency. Bilingual Spanish is preferred. Must possess the physical capabilities to observe residents and staff effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Deliver comprehensive therapeutic services, including assessments and the development of Needs and Service Plans, Client Plans, De-escalation and Safety Management Plans, progress notes, and transition documents.
2. Oversee and provide regular supervision for the Case Manager assigned to the resident caseload.
3. Maintain all clinical documentation, including Community Care Licensing forms, records of external mental health treatment, psychiatric notes, psychological evaluations, contact sheets, and transition dispositions.
4. Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions, as well as parent education when appropriate.
5. Evaluate clients' needs, strengths, and functioning levels; establish a current psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plan.
6. Complete necessary county and Casa de Amparo documentation, including resident education information and Personal Contact Authorization.
7. Finalize transition dispositions and communicate with relevant staff.
8. Facilitate therapy groups and community meetings.
9. Participate in weekly Treatment Team meetings and relevant Child and Family Team meetings.
10. Provide therapeutic services that are culturally competent and respectful of diverse backgrounds.

IMPACT: This position ensures that therapeutic and specialized mental health services, along with case management, are delivered in a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive manner, supporting the care, treatment, and services for residents and their children in Residential Services.
