Licensed Physical Therapist
Under the supervision of the Clinic Director, the Licensed Physical Therapist will assess patient therapy requirements. The role involves designing and executing a tailored Physical Therapy program for designated patients. Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations of physical therapy in accordance with APTA standards and state regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute the Treatment Plan consistently while modifying it based on patient progress.
- Assess mobility, strength, and current functional levels of patients, establishing achievable goals for improvement.
- Create a follow-up plan for patients upon completion of their Treatment Plan.
- Collaborate with other facility staff to ensure effective care and maintain a clean, organized environment for rehabilitation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Sound judgment in applying clinical knowledge and experience.
- Provision of direct and indirect patient care in Physical Therapy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently while demonstrating adaptability.
- Build rapport with medical professionals, case managers, patients, and their families, while taking responsibility for decisions made by supervising therapists.
- Ability to safely lift and transport patients and equipment, exercising sound judgment.
- Exhibit integrity and discretion in all professional matters.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
- Graduation from a Physical Therapy program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association or an equivalent international program. Must be licensed by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance or eligible for licensure within six months of employment.
