Oversee and coordinate all maintenance operations within a smaller automated or non-automated facility, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and organizational safety protocols, policies, and procedures.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate the performance of team members to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall effectiveness.
  • Enforce compliance with all fire safety, risk management, environmental, and health and safety initiatives.
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize maintenance tasks utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Collaborate with the facility's General Manager to formulate and maintain annual budgets for labor and materials. Analyze monthly utility reports, discuss outcomes, and propose innovative solutions for energy management.
  • Advise on future capital investment projects for the designated facility and ensure their timely execution.
  • Oversee all site-specific initiatives for energy efficiency assessments conducted in partnership with the Energy Management department.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide insights on the design and management of future building or automation projects in collaboration with Network Optimization.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in facility maintenance management, including resource allocation.
  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems in temperature-controlled environments.
  • Proven knowledge of Process Safety Management and Risk Management Plan regulatory standards, program implementation, and compliance oversight.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles and applications.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to navigate ambiguity.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures, as low as -20 Fahrenheit, while utilizing provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
  • Comfortable with varying noise levels, which can be significant at times.
