Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to provide technical construction oversight support for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) facility modernization projects under the NISC IV program. As a key member of our team, you will work in a fast-paced environment with flexible work arrangements and opportunities for career development and growth.

About the Role

This position involves providing construction inspection assistance for various projects, including environmental equipment and mechanical system installations, roofing, parking lots, facility refurbishment, and security door installations. You will work independently to evaluate systems and facilities, review electrical schematics, installation designs, and specifications, manage project logistics, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise construction of FAA projects on-site and ensure quality assurance that completed work complies with plans and specifications.
  • Review, document, and report on construction progress to the FAA Resident Engineer.
  • Monitor construction site safety and prepare notices of unsafe working conditions.
  • Perform engineering analysis with respect to code compliance, reliability, maintainability, safety, economy, project specifications, and recommend corrective action where appropriate.
  • Provide estimates of construction progress.
  • Escort contractor personnel in security restricted areas.
  • Maintain records of receipt, inventory, and condition of Government Furnished Material (GFM).
  • Prepare daily entries in the Construction Logbook.
  • Maintain records of all correspondence and reports pertaining to the project.
  • Ensure general contractor complies with FAA Environmental, Safety, and Health policies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong technical background and experience with construction projects, risk mitigation, coordination planning, and documentation. A minimum of 10 years of construction oversight experience is required, or a Civil Engineering degree with at least 4 years of experience as a Project Engineer or Resident Engineer.
