Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Foundation Technologies LLC. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to our customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform takeoffs and quotes for deep foundation construction projects
  • Track projects using CRM software and provide regular updates to stakeholders
  • Provide engineering support to our East coast customer base, with some West coast support
  • Attend and present at conferences and industry gatherings as a subject matter expert on helical piles
  • Work with DOTs and other owners to promote the use of Foundation Technologies LLC's products within their areas of responsibility
  • Participate in technical committees to support the Helical team
  • Identify value engineering opportunities in the East and proactively pursue them
  • Prospect for new business opportunities on Construct Connect and send potential projects to viable clients
  • Prepare bid documents and provide technical support to sales teams
  • Scrape plans in the bid room to identify potential contractors and send them information on Foundation Technologies LLC's products
  • Visit job sites to provide technical support and work with field specialists
Primary Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Prepare takeoffs and quotes
  • Answer technical and engineering questions
  • Identify new leads on Construct Connect
  • Garner interest for Lunch and Learns
  • Educate local municipalities on Foundation Technologies LLC's products
  • Lead Forensics to identify and follow up with potential customers
Qualifications
  • BS or MS in Civil, Geotechnical, or Structural engineering, or equivalent
  • EIT/PE or GIT/PG certification preferred but not required
  • 5 years of experience in Civil, Geotechnical, or Structural engineering
  • Ability to prepare and review standard engineering documentation and geotechnical reports
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic CAD
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work well with diverse groups and be a hard worker/self-starter
