We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at MDA Edge. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing construction monitoring and on-site engineering observation for geotechnical and environmental projects.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct site reconnaissance to assess site access and identify important site features.
- Monitor subsurface exploration activities, including test boring and geoprobe rigs, to gather soil and bedrock samples.
- Conduct field investigations, including soil and groundwater sampling, in accordance with ASTM standards.
- Compile and analyze field data, using spreadsheets and other tools.
- Support the preparation of written reports, proposals, and other client deliverables.
- Adhere to Site Specific Health and Safety Plans.
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 0-2 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer literacy skills, including proficiency in MS Office software.
- Ability to travel to temporary work assignments in Maine, New England, and across the U.S.
