Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and caring Bus Aide to assist with the daily pick-up and delivery of children on our bus route. As a Bus Aide, you will provide a safe and developmentally appropriate transportation experience for children, ensuring their safety on the bus route.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the daily pick-up and delivery of children on the bus route
  • Provide a safe and developmentally appropriate transportation experience for children
  • Ensure the safety of all children on the bus route
  • Maintain the interior of assigned bus to guarantee a clean and sanitary environment
  • Demonstrate sensitivity toward all cultures
  • Ability to participate in all required bus aide training and professional development
  • Experience working with low-income, multicultural families
  • Ability to address the needs of children with disabilities
  • Bilingual, particularly Spanish and/or Hmong, is desired
  • Physical dexterity, coordination, mobility, visual acuity, and emotional health to perform the essential functions of the position
Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Successfully pass the Caregiver Background Check
  • Successfully pass a physical examination, which verifies the employee is free from communicable diseases and is physically able to perform required job responsibilities
  • Obtain Pediatric CPR certification within 6 months of employment
  • Knowledge of basic first aid
