Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Support management efforts to ensure compliance with all Safety Programs, Training, inspections, and internal and external audits, and applicable federal and state laws.
    • Conduct risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment process and provide safety preventative controls.
  • Training and Development
    • Facilitate organization and leadership development efforts to address the root cause of EHS-related issues.
    • Training and assisting others (managers, employees) in completing their safety and compliance responsibilities.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting
    • Responding to and investigating events, including injuries and near-miss events. Drive closure of corrective/preventive actions.
  • Environmental Compliance
    • Conducting environmental compliance site audits of hazardous waste program facilities and solid waste facilities, as assigned.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Representing the company with regulatory agencies such as OSHA.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2-3 years in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field or a bachelor's degree in EHS-relevant background.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
  • Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and personnel issues in the workplace.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer-focus skills.
