Key Responsibilities
Equipment Diagnosis and Repair (60%)

  • Identify and resolve issues with malfunctioning mechanical and electrical systems, executing necessary repairs.
  • Conduct minor plumbing, electrical, and painting tasks as required.
  • Implement preventive maintenance protocols and assist the maintenance team in planning for outages.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as needed.

Equipment Installation and Oversight (30%)

  • Oversee the installation and setup of manufacturing machinery.
  • Lead project planning initiatives for the installation of new equipment or significant repairs.
  • Exhibit proficiency in using essential hand and power tools, including drills, saws, torches, and jacks, as well as operating ladders, cranes, and other maintenance equipment.

Communication and Recordkeeping (10%)

  • Maintain effective communication with supervisors and production teams regarding equipment repair status and readiness for production.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation for machinery, equipment, and facility files, utilizing Microsoft Office and CMMS.
  • Manage inventory of equipment, parts, and supplies by monitoring stock levels, anticipating needs, placing orders, and confirming receipt.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED is required; vocational training is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience at a Journeyman level in Industrial Plant Maintenance is required; five to seven years is preferred.
  • Familiarity with state licensing requirements for Millwright and Electrical work is essential.
  • Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) certification is preferred.
  • Journeyman Millwright certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of electrical principles is necessary.
  • Experience in project planning, implementation, and oversight is required.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics is essential.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Experience with various power and hand tools, welding, and operation of forklifts and heavy machinery is required.
  • Physical fitness is necessary, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and CMMS, is required.

Pay: $24.00 per hour
Shift: Monday to Friday, 6 AM - 2:30 PM
