Job Title: Transmission Line EIT/Coordinator

At HDR, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Transmission Line EIT/Coordinator to join our team of Power Delivery professionals. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for preparing engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports, and designs for high-voltage transmission lines under the direction and supervision of more senior engineers and designers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work under the direction of Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s) to develop design options, perform modeling and/or calculations, and prepare design sketches and concept drawings.
  • Collaborate with Designers and CAD Technicians to develop construction drawings in accordance with national design standards, safety codes, and project specifications and requirements.
  • Assist with preparing cost estimates or specifications and participate in field reviews or construction observations.
  • Develop designs that consider environmental permitting, right of way acquisition, public involvement, access roads, and construction requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • EIT preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will be called a Transmission Line Coordinator.
  • 2+ years' experience in project execution within the Power Delivery market.
  • Familiarity or willingness to learn transmission line design software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and PLS-Tower.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office.
