Position Details:

The Bilingual Therapist at CALM is responsible for delivering psychotherapeutic services in both English and Spanish. This role involves providing treatment and care coordination for children up to age 21 and their families, either on-site or in the community. The therapist's primary focus is to assist clients and their families in achieving their mental health objectives, with an emphasis on symptom alleviation and enhancing overall functioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit essential therapeutic qualities such as empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to identify client strengths and needs.
  • Create case conceptualizations that consider biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop treatment plans with clear, measurable goals.
  • Provide psychoeducation and support to enhance protective factors against Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
  • Deliver culturally responsive and developmentally appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Implement evidence-based practices consistently.
  • Monitor treatment progress through regular assessments and communication with clients.
  • Engage in ongoing training and pursue certification in relevant therapeutic modalities.
  • Ensure continuity of care and address client engagement issues.
  • Stay informed on relevant topics such as child development and trauma-informed care.
  • Meet clinical productivity expectations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives by utilizing feedback and outcome data.
  • Engage in regular supervision and team meetings.
  • Complete documentation in accordance with agency policies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and act as a liaison with families and community organizations.
  • Maintain an active clinical license with the appropriate California licensing board.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in a relevant field.
  • Registered or licensed with the Board of Behavioral Sciences or eligible for registration with the California Board of Psychology.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of clinical experience with children and families.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
