Position Overview

Under the guidance of the Regional Underwriting Manager, the chosen candidate will:
  • Support the management of the underwriting operations within a Regional Office to achieve financial targets while adhering to corporate and regulatory standards.
  • Effectively lead and nurture team members, fostering a culture of high employee engagement.
  • Engage with various regions, departments, and business units to meet operational needs and organizational goals.

The ideal applicant will oversee a unit that encompasses underwriting and policy servicing functions, ensuring alignment with corporate underwriting and marketing benchmarks.

Responsibilities will also include managing the acquisition, development, profitability, and retention of a specified portfolio of business.

Moreover, the candidate will be tasked with recruiting, training, and assessing subordinate staff, organizing the operations of the designated Underwriting unit, and contributing to the Policy Operations and Regional Office management team while maintaining professional relationships with brokers and keeping abreast of industry trends.

Upholding workplace integrity and delivering exceptional customer service in a timely manner are critical components of this position. This role will be based in the Pasadena area.

  • Proficiency in drafting professional, accurate reports and communications suitable for distribution.
Work Environment

Business travel, which may include overnight stays, could be required and may involve various modes of transportation. Travel to different work sites and locations for training or meetings may also be necessary. Work hours may vary based on the demands of the role.
