About the Role

Bayer is seeking a highly skilled Fermentation Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing fermentation processes for protein production.

Key Responsibilities

Design and optimize fermentation processes for protein production, focusing on yield, productivity, and product quality.

Develop and implement strategies for media optimization, ensuring optimal growth and productivity of microbial strains in fermentation.

Conduct strain screening and evaluation to identify and select high-performing strains for protein/biomolecule expression.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support biologics manufacturing activities.

Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support to biologics manufacturing sites.

Requirements

Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline, such as Microbiology, Biotechnology, or Biochemical Engineering.

Extensive hands-on experience in designing and optimizing fermentation processes for protein expression.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve fermentation-related issues.

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
