Key Responsibilities:

Direct Marketing:

  • Identify and pursue new referral sources for Voyages Behavioral Health within the assigned area.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with referral sources by continuously assessing and addressing their behavioral health needs.
  • Conduct in-person meetings to promote Voyages Behavioral Health programs to targeted referral sources, achieving set objectives weekly.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of all inpatient and outpatient programs, including their features and benefits.
  • Meet established goals for weekly outreach calls, collaborative marketing efforts, professional tours, and educational presentations.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Timely completion and submission of weekly call reports, along with bi-weekly time and expense reports.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date record of all contacts within the assigned territory using the sales database.
  • Keep customer profiles (Physician, Case Manager, Employer, etc.) current in the sales database.
  • Contribute to ongoing market research by collecting relevant information and sharing it with management.
  • Provide insights on areas of need or activities that could enhance the organization's marketing efforts.
  • Assist in the development of new programs and improved services through continuous assessment of market stakeholder needs.
  • Identify potential business partnerships and communicate these opportunities to management.

Managed Care Relationships:

  • Recognize opportunities for contracting with managed care organizations and provider networks.
  • Coordinate meetings with managed care companies and Voyages Behavioral Health Case Managers or Director of Managed Care as necessary.

Customer Service:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service characterized by courtesy, empathy, and effective communication.
  • Promote the Mission and Vision of Voyages Behavioral Health within the workplace and the community.
  • Uphold dignity and confidentiality by adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Education and Training: A Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare, business, or a related field, or substantial experience in healthcare marketing. Proficiency in computer systems and a willingness to enhance skills with Voyages Behavioral Health's information systems is essential. Crisis management certification as per hospital standards is required.

Experience: A minimum of two years in healthcare sales or marketing is required, with prior experience engaging with physicians being preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication.
  • Experience in presenting information and organizing educational sessions for professional staff.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for creating presentations on services offered.
  • Effective decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to navigate unstructured environments and manage ambiguity.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
