THE OPPORTUNITY:

This role involves delivering physical therapy services to children with disabilities aged 3 to 22.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conducts assessments, interventions, and documentation for children identified with special needs that may result in physical challenges, utilizing an integrated service model in the Least Restrictive Environment (L.R.E.)
  • Provides direct treatment, monitoring, and collaborative support to the educational team to assist students in achieving educationally relevant functional skills
  • Travels to various educational facilities as designated by the Office of Related Services
  • Accepts additional responsibilities based on caseload requirements
  • Adheres to departmental protocols, participates in training sessions, and fulfills documentation obligations for the district
  • Submits necessary documentation as mandated by the district
  • Completes other tasks as assigned by the Office of Related Services Administrator and/or the Division of Special Education Administrators
  • Complies with the policies established by the Cleveland Metropolitan School District
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Current licensure to practice Physical Therapy in Ohio, issued by the OT/PT/AT Trainers Board
  • Valid certification from the Ohio Department of Education
  • Expertise in pediatric rehabilitation techniques
  • Self-motivated, independent, and reliable
  • Able to work collaboratively with a team of therapists, educators, parents, and external agencies
